Meet the Staff

I am a board-certified emergency physician who started Blackbird Aesthetics in collaboration with a local salon owner. My journey into aesthetics has involved extensive research, training, and personal growth. As I entered my 40s and noticed signs of aging, I became intrigued by the minimally invasive procedures that allow inner beauty to shine. Trying these procedures on myself and friends, I’ve been amazed by the results, which have helped me feel more natural and rested without looking fake.

As an emergency physician, I understand the importance of evaluating each patient individually, and this skill translates well into aesthetics. I don't wear much makeup or dress up often, but I found that these treatments made my skin smoother and younger, allowing me to use fewer skincare products. The combination of medicine and art in aesthetics has been a perfect fit for me, and I’m honored to help others feel confident in their natural beauty.

Since opening Blackbird Aesthetics in October 2021, I've been driven by a desire to empower other strong, hardworking women. Living in the NC High Country for almost 13 years, I’m passionate about supporting local, especially women-owned, businesses. It’s exciting to collaborate with and encourage others in our community through the services we offer.

In addition to running my aesthetics practice, I have been serving as an emergency physician at Watauga Medical Center since 2009. My years of experience performing procedures and listening closely to patients’ needs allow me to offer personalized care and truly hear what each client is looking for when they visit Blackbird Aesthetics.
